A Song for a Siren is a YA historical fantasy and is a blend of folklore, romantic themes, and atmosphere. It's 104,700 words and takes place in a version of Rona in Scotland that has mythical yet plausible, plants and creatures.

After losing his father, Lain's love Adaira gets pulled into the sea by sirens. Monty, A shipwrecked fisherman, tells of a melody in the water; the same one Adaira sang to Lain the night she was taken. Gavin, the lighthouse keeper who found Lain that dreadful night, knows more than he's letting on. While working the apothecary shop, Lain struggles with grief and filling his da's shoes. It doesn't help that Finlay, Lain's unrequited love, is back in town, wondering what went wrong in their friendship, or that every time he plays his violin something goes wrong. Thankfully, Monty sticks around, though Lain is uncertain as to why. With his da's journal, mythical plants, and violin, Lain and Monty endeavor to enchant his siren to come home, and not drown in the process, whether it be by sirens, kelpies, or the caoineag.

Everyone in this story has lost someone or something. Grief and healing are the heart of it all.

Sophia is part of the crew on the Major after hearing rumours the captain decided she has to die But as she was drowning she found a new power within her an turns into a siren Follow Sophia and her, later found, best friend Lucy on their adventures while discovering more and more of Sophia's powers. And I smell a romance between the friends blossoming And I have already written their get together scene so that is a promise I intend to keep ;) It's gonna be rated Mature when I post that scene, but until then it's off And that scene doesn't really hold any plot so you can skip it (I'll put a warning before and tell you when it's over though)

Dagur x Y/N inspired by Last_present dragon(s) Bloodborne- Blood fury- predator cannibal? hunts down other dragons though can and does eat other meats! main stream fire plus red plasma blasts. grows in stream heat is versatile to water and land not as fast as the Nightfury- anger issues so it loses its cool- calling is kinda like a mix of Toothlesses echolocation and the Deathsons call. AU- predatory cannibal! also bonds with one or two thi GA they really like and doesn't let go of it really possessive and protective. Tidal- Sea fury- mix between, shark (The way she swims) Scauldron and Changewing. as in the acid spit and boiling water, dislike of eels isn't as scared of them like other dragosn they aren't poisonous, cna create Tidal waves this process however is taxing, and takes a while not on the spot tidla waves aren't huge but can be deadly AU- females are dominant mates when it comes to dragons like most things in the animal world. yes I know ki g of dragosn and what not but I like the hyena monarchy anyway, often scolds her little dragon killing/eating bf. Starlight(real ones know where I got this idea)- Skrill electrical charge and stream, highly protective. Eats eels mainly enjoys other foods and loves metals! Doesn't like people who get close to you plus she at one point when you got sad hunted people down. AU- Skrills often bond with some. irn or something could be anything from a sheep to a piece of metal they like. change of pov's often first person (I, we,) Y/N the daredevil this is explained in the story!
