Seoul's Hope Academy, an academy where the most talented students got enrolled under an anonymous invite. Seventeen students got chosen to study in the academy but it didn't seem expected to change once they step inside. After meeting together in the gym, they met an unexpected looking teacher named Monokuma. 

Meeting Monokuma for the first time, he gives out the motives of the academy meaning to say they will be imprisoned forever but in order to survive, killing each other is the only option
