Months after the escape of the so called 'soul knights' the young ninja Cole is still plagued by nightmares and has a rough time dealing with what had happened.

His boyfriend Kai is getting even more worried once he and the rest of the ninja team finds out, that these are not normal dreams.

In his visions the former master of earth sees mountains, tunnels and whole buildings under water and three artifacts are seeming to be connected with this, but they've gotten lost over time.

Too late they notice, that the soul knights have found another way to find their creator, free him and get their revenge on the elemental masters.

And so begins a hunt that sends the ninja across the world and through time, back to where it all began.
