For Auld Lang Syne - A Divergent New Year's One-shot

For most people, New Year's is a fresh start. It's a chance to wash away the sins of the last year and vow to do better in the next. It's a chance for redemption.
But Tobias Eaton doesn't want to let go of the past year.
Not when one of his closest friends, and mentors, was murdered.
Starting over would be like washing his hands of his friend, like moving on, like forgetting him.

This is another special one-shot, for, obviously, New Year's. I really tried to capture a more meaningful aspect of the holiday, using the song that is in the title of this story. I hope you enjoy! :)
