"Who are you?" I asked him but instead of answering my question he suddenly grabs my hand and pulls me for a run. I don't know where he will bring me but to my surprised, I let him. We run away from something I don't know. I just know that there is something that was pulling me through a deep unknown darkness. But he was there and now we are running away. I don't know who he is yet I trusted him with all my life. For that instant, I knew my heart belongs to him. *** *** "I didn't mean to love you yet I love you so much I cannot hold you so tight." I said those words and I couldn't stop myself not to feel the bitterness of the truth we are going to face. But still I hold her hand even though I know that it isn't right. We run and I save her. Yet, I don't know it was the beginning and I don't want to find out the ending. Still, the end is near and I cannot hold her even though my heart already belongs to her.

I don't get it. I really don't. I died, I get that much. But waking up in a dark and squishy place, with absolutely NO ROOM to move, I DON'T GET. Let's recap. It was a regular day. I got up, ate, showered and went to work. I was a police officer. I was checking out a house call about domestic abuse. I didn't even get to knock on the door before a man bursted out screaming at a women about calling the pigs on him. It didn't take much to figure out he was the abuser with the way he was holding her arm tight enough to bruise. I tried to diffuse the situation, told him to calm down and let her go. He didn't like that. In the end I got shot and died. Then I woke up in a small and dark space and freaked out. Then I get pushed out only to cry and realize I'm a baby. Oh, but not just anyone's baby. I'm Miranda and Grayson Gilbert's baby?! In 'The Vampire Diaries'?! What the fuck is happening?! Standing on the path, my life flashed before my eyes. The gun directed at me, went off. I could see the flash and the bullet coming straight for me, but I'm frozen to the spot I'm standing, unable to move or think clearly. It only registered with me that the bullet pierced my skin when my body impacted on the cold wet cement. Lying there I could hear my heartbeat slow as my blood flowed from my body. That's when I heard it, footsteps getting closer til a man face appeared in front of me. But my vision is too blurry to see him clearly. That' s when he spoke, "You will be reborn. I'm giving you a second chance.You are not my beloved so you will wake up a soulless killer with no remorse and a burning desire for blood. I can't give you a normal life but I'm giving you the chance for revenge. I can't tell you what to expect because I don't know myself. I have no idea why I'm changing you but something is telling me it is not you're time to die" I had no idea what he' s talking about, well not til I woke up. That night Ivy died and what was reborn is something dark and dangerous. He was right, I am a soulless monster. I have no remorse for the blood I shed. Not when it gets me closer to having my revenge.

I'm tired of running. I just wanna spend my life with someone I love and someone that loves me the same. I've been in foster care for a while now, always escaping but this couple comes out of the blue without even meeting me and takes me in. This man doesn't even look old enough to adopt me. There's something about him that just makes me wanna stay but life has other plans for me. The man I've been running from my entire life has found me.. I hope they can find me in time.

As an avid- and fairly unsuccessful- writer of fantasy fiction, I know that dragons are pretty much the pinnacle of existence. I dare anyone to argue. So, when my mundane existence comes to an end and I am offered a choice of whatever race I liked upon reincarnating into a fantasy world, of course I chose dragon. Little did I know that my life as a dragon would take more than its fair share of twists and turns. But hey, I was a dragon... Everyone knows you don't mess with dragons. This is the next one to be added up on Royal Road in a couple days, once Broken's current chapters are done being added :)

"Please wake up." I said as I held his hand. I looked for any sign of response; a movement beneath an eyelid, a twitch of a finger. Nothing. He was just... blank. I felt the tears come. I played with his hand in mine; traced invisible messages in his palm with my finger, hoping just maybe he'd magically be able to get them. Tears started falling down my cheeks. I held his hand gently against my lips. Tears dropped on his fingers until they were as wet as my eyes. I rested my head on his limp hand. "I told you I needed you to stay."

When I woke, I wasn't human anymore. The last thing I remember is the impact-a heavy blow, a flash of light, and then darkness. But when my eyes opened again, everything had changed. My body was no longer my own. My senses were heightened, my movements alien. And I was alone, face down in what seemed like an endless, echoing cave. I can't explain what happened, or why I've been reborn this way. A dragon? How could this be real? With each new discovery, I learn more about the creature I've become-but I also wonder: Was it all an accident? Or is there something more sinister at play? I'm trapped between two worlds-my old life, lost to the shadows, and this new existence, where every step shakes the earth beneath me. But I have no choice. I must learn to survive in this new form. Because I can't shake the feeling... I'm not the only one here.
