Iris Selwyn doesn't know how she ended up at Wools Orphanage, nor does she know much about anything, she learns when she meets Tom; a closed-off boy with an unsettling air about him, and further more, the boy all the other children are terrified of. For some reason, however, Tom seems to tolerate Iris. Why? She doesn't know- but it's clear that nothing good can come from this unlikely friendship.. but it's her, so of course she befriends him anyway, despite the insanity that shines through not long after.
Extract:
(Tom) "Stop being so naive. You forget how long I have been at this orphanage. Did you never stop to think why I have not simply wasted away just as the others have? It's because I have leaned how to survive, Selwyn. I alone have managed to make something of myself. I alone have changed my fate."
Extract (2):
"He wasn't a good person" she said simply. Her body felt heavy, suddenly, as if her limbs and facial muscles had tiny weights attached to them.
"Neither am I" Tom said, watching her steadily.
She was quiet for a moment, before equaling his gaze.
"I know that"

Something changed (Tom Riddle fanfic)
No one is completely good and no one is only bad. Every dark person chose that way. It could have been because of bad upbringing, hunger for power or a failed love. Take Tom Riddle for example. He was a brilliant, charming, handsome young man, who always had been distant....different. His youth in Wool's orphanage was harsh and he was treated like a toy, a freak, an outcast, a monster. His good looks didn't save him there but only seemed to push him further away from the light. But he did love, did feel the power of friendship. It was unusual for him to show affection but he was very much capable of it. But only to one person. A girl, which had casted a spell over his heart. Someone who was like him...different but special. This is the story of how Tom Riddle changed and the fight of a young girl to keep him from turning into the one she feared. ~Started June 2015~ Completed February 8 2016~ (*disclaimer* all rights and characters go to J.K. Rowling except my own characters of course.)Concluida

Tom Riddle was once a boy unlike any other at Wool's Orphanage and was perfectly content with living his life out there as a freak. However, his hopeless fate soon changed upon the arrival of a girl who was apparently just as freakish as he was. This is a story of a friendship that was to be forgotten by time. For who would believe the future Dark Lord to ever have feelings. "Years ago, I met a boy who made all the wrong choices." As orphans, you and Tom Riddle have more in common than having no parental figures in your lives. One day, it turns out that you, too, can use magic, and it changes everything. For better or for worse? Your adventure starts off in Hogwarts, Britain's very own school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, where you are to spend the next seven years of your life. You grow and learn, but not always together, and not the same things. During the course of the years, he starts to get more and more involved with the Dark Arts... And you start to realize that there is something very wrong with your friend. As he gets older, he becomes more manipulative, possessive and twisted. He starts to use his powers and his looks to control those around him-including you. Eventually, Tom's true nature is revealed, but by then, it's too late for you. You fall under his spell, completely under his control, and there is nothing anyone could do to save you from the darkness that awaits. *~*~* ♡ A slowburn/sociopathic/dark Tom Marvolo Riddle x F!reader book that centers around both reader's perspective and Tom's fall into madness/rise in influence and power. The 'effects' of Tom's influence become apperent later in the book, so the emotional conflicts/thoughts start later too. ♡ Reader insert ♡ Cross posted on ao3 ♡ I don't claim the Harry Potter characters in any way, the only thing I claim is the plot, some OC's and this, like my other books, are not made to make money off of them. ♡ I'm firmly against using AI for bookwriting as it takes away from the whole creativity standpoint. So you don't have to worry about that in any of my books. ♡ This book is very fucking long lol so just be aware. "𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞?" He scoffs, black eyes emotionless. "𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧'𝐭 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬." She was a girl born in the midst of a war. She was the forgotten child. The sister of the girl who sacrificed herself, saving the boy with the lightning bolt scar. He'd come in the night, ripping away everyone she had ever loved. He'd taken away her family. He'd shattered her beyond repair. "𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞?" She asks, blue eyes hard. "𝐈𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞." She was raised to only know neglect. She was raised to only feel pain. She had been thrown away by her own blood. No one ever paused to ask for her wellbeing. No one paused to make sure she was all right. "𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐖𝐀𝐘 𝐅𝐑𝐎𝐌 𝐌𝐄!" "𝐍𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫." She was raised to know anger. She grew with only pain. She was raised with no family. She was being choked with a fiery chain. A fiery chain of loneliness A chain of regret. A flaming chain of loathing. An overwhelming drown-age of emotional debt. "𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮." "𝐈 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬." No one expected her to be more than just a poor orphan. No one expected her to have power beyond what anyone knew possible. The wars would come to pass. The wars would kill millions..... Yet she was their only salvation. The world needed her to save it. It needed help. Why would she help a world with such darkness in it? Why would she ever try to save something that killed her soul? "𝐈'𝐯𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐨𝐨 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠." "𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐭 𝐦𝐞 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐲𝐨𝐮." You know him as "He Who Must Not Be Named," or in other words, Lord Voldemort. I knew him as Tom Riddle, and this is our story. Tom Marvolo Riddle- Slytherin, charming, ambitious and a prodigal student. Sage Sallow- Slytherin, ambitious, bookworm and what could be considered as his best friend. It is the start of my fifth year. Hogwarts is my home but there's one person who has always made it feel that way. Tom Riddle my best friend, my confidant, my partner and my equal in more ways than one. He matches my intellect and understands me in a way no one else ever has. Maybe it is because we relate to each other or maybe because we share a lot of views either way our paths have been intertwined since first year. And you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way. A Tom Riddle fan fiction of his last few years at Hogwarts will there be twists? Will there be turns? Who knows read and find out. 😝 🥺LIKE, VOTE AND COMMENT🤭 Some of the plot and the main character Sage are MY original ideas please do not copy all Harry Potter characters and some of the plot is JKR's I DO NOT OWN ANYTHING RELATED TO HARRY POTTER. Can be read as a standalone. But if you want more head over to book 2 🤭 ❌READER DISCRETION IS ADVISED❌ Enjoy reading 😏Concluida
Where, When, and Why?
I DO NOT OWN HARRY POTTER! (just a fan who wanted to make a fanfic about this ship...) Synopsis : ) Harry Potter, the-boy-who-lived has had enough of everything that has happened to him. His so called 'friends' and 'teachers' have always tried to used him in something he never wanted part of, People hunting him down everywhere, A memory from his parents show that they never intended to have him in the first place, and the Dursley's just make everything worse, 'It hurts, everything hurts so much. I just wanted to be left alone' All I've ever wanted was... After making his plan of escape, He ran, as far as his legs could, Harry took the time-turner and his belongings and just... ran, far enough from everyone. Tom Riddle, a Half-blood Parselmouth entering his first year in Hogwarts filled with curiosity and wonder, but most of all hatred for everyone. Mistreated by muggles and looked down upon by his own kind because of blood status 'I will be better and leave them all in the dust, and so his quest for knowledge and power began. What were to happen if these two opposites meet, a boy who wants nothing and a boy who wants everything. Would they go in the same path as before or will they forge a new one? Who knows you're going to have to read it then \(UwU)/ A/N: it has been a while since I've read the book so please tell me if I made some mistakes, Have a good day! Also I might not fast because I'm a bit busy with school work, uggghhh. In any case if you don't like it don't read it that's all, after all "Out of sight, Out of mind."Concluida
