One moment. That was all it took. One moment and Cassadee's life came crumbling, crashing down around her. Literally. Cass wasn't supposed to survive that night; no one should have been able to climb out of the rubble, scared and alone. But Cass did survive. And Cass did make it from the rubble alive, shaken to her core and covered in cuts and scrapes but otherwise unharmed. And Cass doesn't want to be the girl who rose from the ashes of her now damaged home- and past- to some false fantasy that everything will go back to the way it was before. Because it can't and it won't ever will and nothing will be the same again. So Cass leaves her newfound fame behind and hides away in a small, quiet town with a fake name and an even faker backstory. There, no one knows who she really is or her now tragic past or all that she lost and will never get back. And there, in the slow town of Dunnsberry does Cass find the last person she excepts, the person who used to mean so much to her and the person she broke. Her old friend but maybe more may be the only person who's able to help her piece her life back together but nothing comes without a price. And the only way Cass may be able to move on from the past is if she confronts all she's been running and hiding from since that fateful night, the night she doesn't want to remember. But if she doesn't, she could risk losing the only thing that she has left from her previous life; herself. From the ruins of a horrible tragedy comes a story of finding yourself again in the darkest of times and finding the light when all hope seems lost and finding the strength to carry on when you already lost everything you hold dear.
