Mercedes Grace Lockwood is the sister of Tyler Lockwood. 16 years old, and human. Mystic Falls is not an exciting town and the people in it don't make it any better. She doesn't really have any hobbies and only has a few friends.
She has always wanted to be loved by more than just her brother. She feels useless, unwanted and
she hates it. Despite that, she doesn't let that bother her. Everyday she puts on a facade that shows that she is the most happy person in the world, which makes people think she has never been sad before.
As her friends, Elena, Caroline and Bonnie start to keep secrets and drifting apart she begins to think something is wrong.
