Meilani Lin thinks Brennon Huxley is the hottest guy at her school. When Meilani got paired up with Brennon for a project, she knew it was fate. She read too many romance novels to know that they would fall in love. Except when Meilani learns that Brennon is the biggest party boy there is. She hates Brennon's rich and arrogant best friend. When he finds out that Meilani likes Brennon, he uses this as an advantage. They decide to work together, both getting what they want from each other. In the end, they can't help but fall for each other. Not so cliché, huh? TW: This book has mentions of abuse, death of loved one, drug overdose, suicide, and self harm. Leilani Ahn was just there. She didn't stick out, she had great friends, and she was nice to everyone. She didn't stick out much. Why so? She just known as the basic perfectionist of her class. Although, the same couldn't be said for Issac Espiritu. He stood out as the goofy little shit of the class. Or, well known as the "class clown". Issac was basically perfect in Leilani's eyes. He was good at his instrument, he was hilarious, he was good with academics, and he knew when to be serious at times. Obviously he was still annoying, but there was a little bit of charm that pulled her in. Not as if she really liked him though! That would've made a lot of thing weird. However, one day, after a few petals, the newfound 8th grader had a problem in her hands. No, literally, she had the problem in the palm of her hand.
