Because she is a very beautiful young lady it helps Ray to have her come as his plus one. It Started when he couldn't leave her alone in the hotel while on a business trip. So he bought her a proper outfit and had her hair and make up done to perfection. Of course no one bothered to ask her age. She just told them she was unavailable. At 13 she was definitely not available. Ray was a widow and Anastasia was his only child. And they had no other family. She travelled with him everywhere. She was home schooled and was a genius.
