The Claim to The Phoenix

In this world, there are many creatures, though they do not live with humans they are at peace with them, there are 4 realms: Calypso, Deirdre, Seraphim, and Earth. Seraphim is where our story will first begin.

Unknowing to many beliefs Phoenixes are not shifters but are what you would call guided spirits, at birth a Fae (Phoenixes before they are given their spirit.) is given a mark on any part of their body that gives their status among the others. First (Highest), you have Auroras, their mark is a simple Triskelion, then there's Circe (Middle), their mark is two white wings, and lastly, there's Isolde (Lowest), their mark is a single bright orange flame. This mark determines their status, but the mark does not run in the family, and life at the age of 17 they are given the spirits, each spirit's flames will come in 2 various colors, and the Fae's eyes will change to match their flames.

Aulus' family was cursed many generations ago to forever be doomed in the rank of Circe when Aulus was born he was born without a mark, and it seemed to bring despair onto her family, growing up he was dismissed by her family and had to learn to take of himself, getting a job at 14 and buying stuff for herself. Without her mark, she and her family believed she would not get her spirit, but all in do time that is, we follow her in the upcoming weeks before her 17th birthday.
