From the very first time she pulled the lever on the Pegasus Device, the little black and purple Pegasus was happy. She stayed that way for a long time. Four years to be exact. She grew from a weak little filly, into a strong young adult, but growing up comes with a price. Growing up has made this mare realize that she had gotten her revenge long ago. She no longer needed the comfort of killing the ponies that had been so cruel to her before. In fact, she no longer wanted it. She had finally realized that what she was doing was morbid and wrong. Now each time she pulled that dreaded lever, she would look away, to avoid watching the gruesome deaths. She couldn't take it anymore. This filly wanted out. But there was one problem... Becoming an employee of the upper Rainbow Factory means sacrificing any life outside those black walls. Workers are sworn to secrecy and forbidden from leaving, and live inside the facility itself. Those few who ever manage to make it out not in a body bag are twisted and disturbed, too damaged to ever bring themselves to talk about it. There is no escaping the factory... Or is there? So you may ask, why am I telling you this? Why do you care? Well, I felt that this story needed to be told. It's the story of the pony who DID escape. Her first dream was to fly in the night sky within the moonlight but her peers told her it shall never happen for everypony knows only the royals can fly. Her second dream was to be able to cast spells to help thoses she cared about but she was told that only unicorns can cast spells. Her third and final dream was to have a family that wouldn't judge her for her flaws but her peers told her that it would never happen because she was too flawed for anyone to not judge her. the filly's heart broke more and more each day she was told her dreams won't come true until one day she ran away from the place she once called home to try to escape her pain after loosing her only friend Zipp Storm. the filly then found others that were without families like her and she lead them to create their own home but her pain stayed as she grew, she became cold and untrusting towards thoses around her. Being transparent, this story is an MLP fanfic that started out as a pet project of mine, but I finished it a few days ago, and I felt it's finally time I share it. Sure, it starts out with typical "OC meets canon character" stuff, but it gets good, I swear! Seriously, this story gets quite insane by the end, and while I don't blame you if you don't read every single chapter... at least read the tenth chapters, because that's usually where it gets the most insane. I might even upload said tenth chapters before the others because... well, I'm going to be rewriting a lot of stuff, and I'm not gonna make you wait to get to the good parts. By the way, the story contains a lot of No More Heroes/Bayonetta influences, and some Devil May Cry ones earlier on. Also, please keep in mind that while I do try to write the characters canon to the show as accurately as I can, I try to write them with a bit more sincerity, as if they're people instead of cartoon ponies. Then again, take my attempt at a more realistic portrayal of the characters with a grain of salt. I'm still an amateur writer after all, so whether or not the characters do actually act like more realistic versions of the characters from the show is up to you to judge. All non-original characters, locations and concepts (eg, Fluttershy, Equestria, Elements of Harmony) belong to Hasbro.Complete
