It's London, 1978. Jane Beul is a stylist for all-female band Judith Slaying, ensconced in the broiling underworld of punk music. The scene is rife with conflict--from tensions within bands, to who's getting with who, to bitter rivalries. Enter the Vigilantes, an industry-shaking group with loud politics and even louder concerts. Also, Judith Slaying's sworn enemies. One messy interview led to the ugly resentment now shared between the bands. To make matters worse, the two are scheduled to perform the same night, at the same venue. When The Vigilantes' lead singer, Dante Stern, ruins his outfit and the rest of the band needs major wardrobe help, Jane Beul is put to the task. She believed that by keeping a cool head, she could keep herself free from conflict. But around Dante Stern, keeping a cool head is not easy. Jane is thrust into the middle of the rivalry when a tabloid is released claiming she's having an affair with her employer's enemy. Deceiving tabloids. Loud concerts. Missed flights. Impulsive decisions. Animosity. It's all a game.
