The Sun Can't Shine Where it's Unwelcome

Lia long has suffered from depression and other severe mental illnesses, but has always assumed this, at the least, is what she deserves. Lia's main goal of life was to simply graduate college and slip off to a big city where no one knew who she was, unfortunately (for her) that's when she met Maddox.
Maddox is the complete opposite of Lia, he tries everything and wants the world to know his name. When the two meet it seems like some sort of messed up fate. The two challenge each other's ideals and push one another.
But Lia still struggles feeling inadequate when it comes to love . She's spent so much time protecting herself from darkness, she didn't even notice she was also blocking out the light.
