Mystery
The days of myths are gone. These monsters are real... And they are here. "Our fathers have left us to our own. These monsters will destroy us if we do not fight and survive" Markel, my brother asserted when we were sitting and expecting help. "Help is not coming!" he declared. His voice rang, even in the deepest parts of our souls. The fear was real. So real, that the tips of our feet were frozen in place. "We have to fight!" The horrors of our thoughts and the uncertainty of the next day terrified us to our core. At dawn, when they are awoken, a chill of dread filled us and we knew that any way we'll be dinner. But we will not give up! Monsters the oldies called them. Their rotten faces and stinking odour fills your senses that you can't move or do what's right anymore. We call them Zombies...Yes, just like we saw in the movies, just harder to fight and survive. You wanna know what's the only right thing to do. RUN! My name is Esta and well, I'm still surviving. The General will always shout this before every battle "One dollar for your souls people! Don't stop shooting and don't die!" Peters said 'That's two ma'am' She said 'Trust me boy it's one.

Paranoia... has become my constant companion. Ahh... Danny, what've you gotten yourself into? Thought I was doing something... thought I was gonna get better. Turns out it was all for nothing. I knew I'd be here again. Rock bottom's the only place for real pieces of shit like us... Like me. All that self-improvement didn't mean shit... Or I guess it did, or I wouldn't be here right now... Trying to fill those shoes, re-paint that grim portrait that haunted me... and I did, made everyone proud, even you mom... But it won't mean anything if I die out here. I thought those jumbled remnants of thoughts were the pull of my former self in a disassosiative amnesia from the drugs... Guess it was the pull of a much more treacherous force. I wish I could've lived my fantasy out and been happy.... At least you were, while it lasted. "Times almost up, they'll be here soon."
