Like anything else I guess i started with good intentions; imperfect people trying to build a perfect society.But One world war and twelve atom bombs later and The Regiment is still bent over the little utopia of theirs.When adults wouldn't comply they wiped them out.Now their starting over, new slate, but this time with kids.Everyone left have huddled into gangs and groups just trying to survive.Rowan, his two older brothers and their gang get roped into the rebellion against The Regiment.

Anesthesia for A Cow
An oddity novella I wrote in undergrad, but one that I put a lot of soul into. The story follows three central characters who at different times/ages all interact in unexpected ways to change each others lives. It definitely has some pretension and thinks its more clever than it is, but I still think it's a fun story. I should note that there is a started, but unfinished part two. When you're marked you have two choices; fight or die. Nance lives in the past, literally. Her city is a recreation of early twenty-first century society. To the outside world they're experiments, just rats running around a maze. In an impoverished future world, the city seems to be their only chance of finding where they went wrong, or so they say. Nance doesn't know the real purpose of her home, and she doesn't care. All she sees are the one hundred teenagers, just like her, who are killed every year in the barbaric ritual known as the marking. They tattoo your face and pit you against your peers, against the city. Nance doesn't know why, but it doesn't matter, because she's sixteen and it's her turn to be marked. **So I decided to replace the original story with the rewrite because they are pretty much exactly the same. Plus, it's a lot less complicated then having two separate books for the same story.** There is a * next to all rewritten chapters. THE ORIGINAL VERSION IS COMPLETE. IT'S JUST NOT MARKED AS SUCH BECAUSE I GAVE UP ON THE REWRITE.Complete

To Stay Human (wip)
Three siblings have had their lives upended by a military force that destroyed their hometown. By serendipity or misfortune, they've met Noah and Gregory. The former saw an opportunity to advance his research and potentially humanity as a whole. The latter saw three miserable children who had been through far more than the dejected look on their faces could tell. None of them could've guessed that by securing the means to live without worry, they'd have to harbor and collaborate with an entity whose identity was lost many centuries ago. This is only some of what has been written. I'm looking for feedback of all kinds, so please don't hold back.
The Exit
In the scorching desert, a young boy slowly opened his eyes, groggily taking in his surroundings. He was met with a sea of unfamiliar faces - teenagers, all around his age, scattered across the endless dunes. The blistering sun beat down on them, relentless in its ferocity. As the boy struggled to sit up, he noticed the mix of fear, desperation, and determination etched on the faces around him. Some were huddled in small groups, whispering among themselves, while others wandered aimlessly, searching for something - anything - that could help them survive. The boy's memories were hazy, but one thing was certain: they were trapped. There was no sign of civilization in sight, just an endless expanse of sand and rock. No buildings, no roads, no rescue in sight. Panic began to set in as the boy scrambled to his feet, joining the throngs of teenagers searching for answers. How did they get here? Why were they trapped? And, most pressing of all, how would they survive in this desolate wasteland? As the boy joined the desperate search for survival, he realized that he was not alone in his quest for answers. Together, they would have to rely on each other, trust each other, and fight to stay alive in a harsh environment that seemed determined to kill them.Complete
