"What I was going to say was selfish..." He mumbled. I edge closer to him until my hand slowly cradled his cheek. Tilting his head up to look at me. "Please let me know what it was." I beg him pathetically. He begins to chew his lip and that's when I knew he was nervous. Nervous about what? I'm not exactly sure. For as long as I could remember vampires ruled other humans. I found it that way and I believed that was an injustice. Not like I could do much about it. Once I turned of age, I would be sold as a blood slave, a pet and my life would possibly end. I never liked these creatures to begin with. Adding salt to injury I was bought by a royal vampire, the prince. I cursed the day I was born. Maybe not all vampires were the same, but for humans that was just wishful thinking.
