In a future that never left witch-hunting in the past, North America is a theocratic society called Zion. Its people, devout and ruled by their faith and love of God and country, lead righteous lives of purpose and service. Those who stray from the fold of God risk facing deadly consequences.
In the sleepy town of Garretsburg Pennsylvania, a young girl finds herself having dreams of life unprescribed by her father and by her faith in a world where angels speak with tongues of flames and the howling of demons splits the earth.
