Emma's day consists of cooking, watching YouTube, and then working as a nighttime cleaner in the late hours of the day. Her life is boring, depressing and she feels stuck in her life. Her mother is distant, her boyfriend is long distance and she doesn't speak to much of her family.
On another boring day, something exciting happens, and she receives a package from her boyfriend. Only, there's an envelope that didn't come with the package. When she opens it she thinks it's a mistake or some type of advertisement, setting it aside to look into later. The name on the card is hers, the one her real mother intended for her. Emma quickly learns that her life is not as it seems, she is adopted and she is not as ordinary as she once thought.
