Between Gods and Mortals - LOKI X READER X THOR by AsgardianPrincess050
28 parts Ongoing Mature
When Y/N, a mortal girl obsessed with Norse mythology, stumbles upon an ancient spell in an old book, she never expects it to actually work-until she finds herself trapped in Asgard with no way home. Desperate, she sneaks through the golden halls of the palace, searching for a way to reverse the magic. But in her attempt to fix the portal, she only shatters it beyond repair, sealing her fate in the realm of gods. Discovered by Thor, the mighty prince of Asgard, she is met with hostility from the court, particularly the noblewomen who see her as a lowly mortal unworthy of their golden city. But Thor, ever the honorable warrior, takes her under his protection, offering her sanctuary despite the disapproval of his people. She finds solace in his kindness, his unwavering sense of duty, and the effortless way they seem to understand each other. Yet Thor is a future king, bound by expectation to marry a noble Asgardian woman-not a girl from Midgard. Then there is Loki. The dark, silver-tongued trickster, an outcast in his own land, sees in her a reflection of himself-someone unwanted, someone different. He is the first to treat her not as an intruder, but as an equal, drawing her into his world of whispered secrets and forbidden magic. She knows she shouldn't fall for him, not when his mischief turns to cruelty, not when the darkness within him begins to unfold. And yet, she can't seem to stay away. Torn between two gods, she must choose: the light of Thor, whose duty to Asgard threatens to pull them apart, or the shadow of Loki, whose desire for power may consume them both. But as political tensions rise and enemies lurk in the corners of Asgard, one thing becomes clear-the gods may be immortal, but love is just as dangerous as war. Who will you choose, reader?

In this alternate universe, Loki is sent to Midgard after the fight over the Aether. The Avengers question the Allfather's sanity, but agree they would rather have Loki where they can keep an eye on him. So, after some extensive remodeling, the Avengers Tower and neighboring facilities are now an extensive training ground with everything they'll need to reform the once proud Asgardian prince. Thor is hopeful. He wants the brother he thought Loki was back. Clint (Hawkeye) is waiting for a reason to exact some much deserved revenge. Steve (Captain America) has hope that even the most hardened of evil doers can be changed for the better. No one quite knows what Natasha (Black Widow) is thinking. Tony (Iron Man) resents having to share his tower with a psychopath. Bruce (Hulk) did not fly away to Sakar. He's brooding away in his own private wing. Scott (Antman) is under house arrest... at the tower. Wanda (Scarlet Witch) is still mourning her brother while nurturing a still very naive Vision. (Neither are living in the tower. Will only play small, fleeting parts in this story.) Dr Strange refuses to move into the tower. After all, it is more important to keep up with his work at the Sanctum. Peter (Spiderman) is spending his summer at the Tower, much to the dismay of Aunt May, who knows how dangerous this is, but does not know Loki has returned. Sam (Falcon) will follow Cap to the ends of the earth, but refuses to jump off the proverbial bridge just because Cap's doing it. Bucky (Winter Soldier) is trying to atone for his past misdeeds, while learning what exactly they were, but is living in Wakanda with T-challa (Black Panther) so neither will be playing a large role in this story. Then there's Aite. She's new. She's the Greek goddess of mischief, delusion, folly, and ruin. You'd think her and Loki would be the best of friends... Not so much.

I took his hands in mine frantically, causing his eyes to meet mine. "Then hand over the Tesseract and come home, Loki. Please." "I can't." He pulled away. "If I'm not allowed rule on Asgard, then I'll rule here." My eyebrows knitted together in desperation. "Loki, pleas-" My plea was cut shot as a burst of energy and the distinctive clang of metal on metal pushed me over into the god of mischief. We stumbled backwards until I laid on his chest and he grunted from the sudden impact. "Thor." I cursed under my breath. "Sorry..." I began lifting myself off of his body. I narrowed my gaze and quickly stood to rush into Thor's aid, ignoring his dejected expression. I was about to leap off the cliff side when I heard four words that had me frozen in my place unlike anything my powers could do. "I still love you." ___________________________________________ (Y/N) Ísveig thought she'd made peace with Loki's death. She couldn't bring herself to forgive him for everything he had done, obviously, but she was finally beginning to live the life she always wanted. She was no longer deemed future queen of Asgard, and she was slowly learning to control her amplified ice powers. That is, until the god of mischief decides to attack New York and steal the Tesseract. Now (Y/N) must again face her inner demons as her powers quickly deem too much for her to handle, and all her feelings for Loki resurface even though she forces herself to see him as the enemy. Only time will tell if her, along with the Avengers, can put a stop to his schemes, or if New York will ultimately be engulfed by a thick layer of snow, ice, and death. ___________________________________________ BOOK 2 in the Loki x (Y/N) Ísveig series. Check out Frost Giants (Loki x Reader) first! DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT own any of Marvel's The Avengers characters, plot, or world; by no means am I profiting from this. I only own (Y/N) Ísveig.

After returning from Asgard, S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Dean Allen stays busy to keep his mind off of wondering when Thor will return. But when a very familiar enemy arrives on earth and steals an object of vast comic power, the safety of the earth is challenged. Loki's aspiration to enslave earth with an army from the far reaches of space spurs S.H.I.E.L.D. to enact the Avengers Initiative. But will this team come together...or be torn apart? Note: this is a reimagining of the first Avengers film. While there will definitely be a lot of similarities between this work and the film, there will also be departures. I've done my best to maintain the general spirit of the film while also putting a spin on things to keep it interesting. Also, Thor and the main character are in a homosexual relationship. If that's not your thing consider this a heads up. I do not own any of the Marvel Comics characters, just the original characters created for this story. Please note that this is an installment in an ongoing series. Reading out of order may cause confusion. The reading order for the series is: -Worthy -Avengers: Some Assembly Required -Love You to Asgard and Back -Eternal Night -Avengers: Peace in Our Time -Avengers: More Than a Mortal -Fantastic Four -Avengers: Divided We Fall -Asgardian Twilight -Avengers: Destiny Arrives -Captain America: Love in a Time of Loss -Avengers: Whatever It Takes -Avengers: A Wedding At Last -Avengers: Vengeance -Avengers: A Darker Shade of Scarlet
