Everyone at Walnut High accepts that the head cheerleader is dating the supposed bad boy. No one fights the head cheerleader on anything so when her posse told the school that they are dating, people were a little annoyed she couldn't stay with the captain of the football team but didn't question it. 
Meet Charlie Wilson. She's the new girl in town as of today. She was convinced that there was a queen and king who were the two most popular teens in all of the school.
