Loki's fallen from the bifrost and no other than thanos finds him, floating aimlessly around the galaxy. 


Thanos seen it as an opportunity, an opportunity to use this god as his weapon to get the infinity stones. 


Thanos has three daughters, gamora, nebula and Astraea, the youngest of the three. 


Astraea watches as Loki is tortured and feels something she hasn't before, Sympathy. 


She tries to help him and In a result of this they grow close. When thanos finds out this second favourite daughter is not only trying to ruin this chance to fulfil his life's purpose but also sees her attention go towards the god Loki rather than training to become stronger he becomes furious and brainwashes loki and let's his plan continue.
