It is the Year 994 of the Fifth Epoch. The high elves of the Elendarii Imperium are at war with the mountain orcs of Gruumsh. The might and tenacity of the orc horde have whittled away at the empire, and the emperor sues for peace. He pledges his daughters hand in marriage to the orc warlord. But a shadowy organization plots to keep the world at war. Join in on an adventure as you meet warlocks and fighters, paladins and rogues, druids and barbarians. Follow our heroes as they navigate a world on the brink of collapse. And find yourself in the shadow of a sinister castle with a dark history.
At the end of the day, Dungeons and Dragons is collective story telling between friends. This novel series is what happens when that story telling is put to paper, though its not so collective anymore. Penned by an obsessive DM who is never quite happy with his work, here is my attempt to trim the fat off those stories so that everyone can enjoy them. See if you could spot the natural 1s and 20s.

In the realm of Quomared, which occupies the biggest part of the continent, magic is a scarce and precious resource. Fewer and fewer humans are born magic bearers throughout the last decades. Zaretha is the only daughter of the Alsayid, religios leader and grand mage of the country, the most powerful still-living sorcerer on the continent in service of the emperor. She is, however, born empty, magicless, to everyone's disappointment. An attempt at a coup d'etate takes place after her twelfth birthday, and her father is assassinated under mysterious circumstances. An orphan now, she is brought to live in The Priory of the White Stones, a home for girls from families that have or had magic-bearing members. They are schooled to be concubines or wives that a noble family can acquire for their heir, because even if magic-less, they still carry the gene and have a fifty percent chance to bear a magic-yielding child. __________________ Mentions: Please don't copy and all that. The Other Silver Lady
The daughter of Persinia has been alone all her life, tucked away in a forgotten corner of the imperial palace with her sole maid as she spends her days reading books and attending a mandatory ball once in a while. And this one says she will die when a lost princess shows up in a few years and all of her siblings will kill her to protect their new, favorite sister! Now our princess realizes that if she wants to live, she has to be strong enough to do everything herself - wield aura to counter dark ones, wield magic to protect herself from evil wizards, and know alchemy to protect herself from a poison-happy consort of the emperor keen on making sure her son is the last one standing as heir to the throne. In an empire waging an eternal war against the darkness just to exist, our princess finds herself picking up new skills, new friends, new enemies, and a lot more importance in the palace than before all while trying to just make herself unkillable so she can live silently reading books. Will she be able to unravel all the mysteries of the world that she wants to, or will all of the tasks the emperor asks of her and the troubles she creates for herself keep her from existing in peace? Will she be able to escape the palace before the "silver lady" of that book appears, or is her death inevitable? Well...Mephie doesn't really care, to be honest. She just wants everyone to stop bugging her so she can finally finish the latest book she's been reading...especially those annoying knights...and, well, everyone else too.
