Life was never very complicated for Ezra--until he lost everything, that is. So when the one thing you want to do is the impossible, what do you do instead? (Apparently neither sex, drugs nor alchohol is the answer, go figure!) How do you carry on living when life as you know it is lost to you forever? When your reason for living is gone, and you have no purpose in life? How do you find your way in the darkness left behind when the person who lights up your world is gone? In his pursuit of new meaning to life Ezra finds himself quite lost, and as he tries to escape the darkness of reality a pandemonium of parties, unwanted friendship, kitten-hunts, murder, mayhem, and home-brewery ensues.

Silas knows three things for certain: Ezra loves him more than anything in the world. Ezra would never hurt him on purpose. Ezra will, quite literally, be the death of him. *** Ezra and Silas have been inseparable their entire lives, for better or worse. Theirs is the kind of attachment that makes "forever" sound less like a promise and more like the premise of a true crime documentary. After eighteen years of proximity, distance finally exposes the rot. But even then, neither of them can let go. *** A study in codependency with a touch of romance, and no happy ending in sight. CW: graphic violence, blood/gore, harsh depiction of mental illness, sex & strong language
