In a world where the darkness within oneself is a sickness, and becomes a concrete thing, destroying the organs, causing tissues to go gangrene , poisoning and mutating the body. A particular set of surgeon, if payed the right amount, are willing to search the darkness within the body, remove it completely, promising to then burn it in front of your very eyes.
Since the most evil and despicable acts are done consciously, there's a catch: the darkness within takes form only when the person is conscious, therefore, the patient must be fully aware and awake during the surgery.
Not the pubblic nor the the Print or even the government knows what happens after this darkness is removed. It does not help the fact that the surgeons categorically refuse to explain what happens before, during and after the operation, not even saying what or how a person looks like once everything is done. Some of them even denying having performed said surgery.

So that was the deciding factor. It became my inspiration, my reason for resorting to such seclusion. The Gory Details (Gross)
Between 2004 and 2008 I wrote a series of "Tips for Writers" for Nocturnal Ooze magazine vaguely about what would happen in real life if you did the things they do in movies but mostly about the gross out. I've always loved them and so have taken them out of mothballs for a new audience here on wattpad. They're all here except for #13 which seems to have vanished. I've also left them mostly intact except for a few very dated references that have been updated. The earth has been ravaged by war, and all that is left of humanity is on an iron island out in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. It was a paradise, because on Olympus, they were gods, or so they were made to believe. The inhabitants of Olympus were untouchable, beyond simple human desires like greed, hate and violence. Unfortunately for them, they seemed to have incurred the wrath of actual gods, nightmares, and monsters. And so, they have been forced to flee their 'heaven' for greener pastures, but before then, they'll have to pass through hell. Monsters, demons, nightmares and gods are only supposed to exist in the world of imagination, and that's exactly where they came from. And it just so happens that to survive, they'll have to enter the human mind, they'll have to invade the world of imagination, but what horrors must await them in such a place, depraved of reason and logic, perverted by man's desires and sick mind.Complete
