Untethered

After losing his mother to a sudden car accident, Toby is plucked from his childhood home in California to live with his father in the gloomy mountains of upper Washington peninsula. Feeling lost and struggling to acclimate to the small lumber town, he grapples with his grief by shutting himself off to others.

But the longer he stays in the sleepy town of Hood River, the more mysteries he uncovers about it's residents, his father, and even his own past. He can't stay walled up forever, especially when a dark eyed stranger comes with intentions of knocking them down.

A/N: This is my first attempt at a novel so please be gentle _()_ It's kind of a slow burn, but there will be substantial *ahem* action in later chapters. I just wanna get comfortable with my characters before I take their clothes off ya know. Anyways, open to criticism but it's possible you will be blatantly ignored.
