He's everything I want and need...to stay away from.

Reid Cathan's doesn't do grimy, he doesn't do alleyways and dark nights alone out in the cold and most importantly, he doesn't do me.

I'm here because his mom took me in, not because of him and his stupid basketball reputation that has everyone wrapped around his finger.

Not because he wards off anyone bad, not because we go to the same school now and definitely not because for three out of seven days a week I spend my nights at his home, in the bedroom next to his.

Winter Castillo is moms favourite girl, she loves her like she loves anything else - with her entire heart.

But Winter is the opposite. She's closed off, she keeps to herself, she's lonely by choice.

She only lets me in, when no ones there to see it. Not even the sun.

Perfection is a long shot, but they're pretty close.

Except Winter doesn't want to give. And all Reid's used to, is to take.
