River Reyes made a name of herself as a firefighter in firehouse 51. From her first day as a candidate up until the day she got promoted to Lieutenant, the members of 51 were the one family River could always rely on. However, one day that was no more. After an incident, she transferred to another firehouse and the members of 51 never saw her again, up until two years later.

Lieutenant River Reyes and her Squad team are transferred to Firehouse 51 after Firehouse 38 is closed, forcing River to confront the ghosts that roamed around the halls of 51 but more importantly, she is reconnected with the one person who knew the whole truth of her disappearance, the one and only Kelly Severide.
