Waking up from the coma Emma meets the Sheriff's Deputy Rick Grimes, which it wouldn't be a big deal if it weren't the apocalypse. Rick helps guide Emma back to a camp of people who unexpectedly become Emma's family. She meets her dad for the first time. She has no clue what happened to her mom. In a twisted way Emma's life is just better in the apocalypse. **I just want to warn everyone, this is my first story, and I'd like to say it progressively gets better. Apart from some of the arguments that'll break out but you can only expect that when strangers take shelter together. Y/n was a survivor of the city, brought in by Glenn. You were thankful for the kindness from the stranger but the same behavior wasnt shared from the rest of the group. Supplies are tight and tension gets high everytime a newcomer is brought in. The Dixon brothers dont miss a beat to make sure and cause a scene, going on and on about supplies and how thin we are stretched. The speeches have droned on but no one listens to them, especially when they come from a couple hillbillies. Days went by the same, hardly any words spoken your direction unless it was snarky comment or small talk from Glenn. Changes started taking place when a fellow named Rick Grimes showed up.Complete

"Long-term Hiatus, working on rewrite!" --------------------------------------------------------------- Ford Dixon was the youngest of the three Dixon brothers, just barely twelve years old when the world went to shit. A stubborn, quiet, almost shy boy looking for his brothers in an apocalypse world with the dead roaming around eating the living. Kill or be killed. He learned to cope with it. Holding out in a hospital after leaving his house he finds comatose Rick Grimes and decides to stay and make sure Rick is taken care of. Shortly after Rick awakes, they run into Morgan and Duane Jones. Over the course of the 11 years of a normal life, Ford had he had been reported missing nearly 13 times and ran away from home, the longest span of time being 3 weeks, nearly a month. He's been out hunting with both his brothers. Normally hiding away in the woods until his brothers found him. Now having just turned twelve the young boy gets separated from his brothers, sees his father get killed, and desperate to find his brothers again. ----------------------------- CW!!!
