April is a lost girl, who has had a ruff life after the loss of her brother. Her parents never stopped grieving so she has to deal with controlling parents that often leave her with a nanny as they did things for themselves.

She has to excel in school so that she can fulfil their wishes at her having a good career. She herself is getting over the loss of her brother and as a fifteen year old girl who is still learning to fit in, especially at a new school with no friends and everyone knowing about what happened that fateful night 5 years ago is hard. 

Scared that no one will like her, she keeps to herself. Until she meets Alison a smart funny girl that shows her how to fit in and become a normal teenager again. She will outgrow the need to be perfect all the time to impress her parents and start letting lose. Especially when she meets a certain person that causes a great impact into the life that she knows....Daniel Smith
