In the animated Disney movie "Sword in the Stone" we are introduced to a villain named "Mad Madam Mim."
In this prequel to Sword in the Stone, I portray a young Morgein leFay, struggling to come to terms with her powers and the fraught political situation she lives in.
Morgein, a natural, meets Merlin, who comes to his magical powers through dispassionate study. Morgein and Merlin find themselves becoming quick allies in trying to use their (officially condemned, covertly accepted) magicks, among other gifts, to effect positive change in their medieval world.
Morgein struggles to keep up appearances for Merlin's high academic and moral standards as the allure of dark and destructive magicks pull her. She can control them. She can use them to unite the kingdom under a new (and pliable) king. Surely Merlin, the starry eyed idealist, will help her achieve this noble aim.

How does she become an unhinged loner out in the woods waiting to destroy Arthur when he happens upon the place?
Why does she seem to be such bitter enemies with Merlin? What happened between them growing up?
If Merlin represents the enlightenment as he seems to in Sword in the Stone, what does Madam Mim represent?
Is the story that people tell, that Merlin placed the sword in the stone really the truth, or is it just a story that the winners have told?

"Let's face it, Galahad, your little experiment failed." "Guinevere." Galahad continued, ignoring Arthur's remark. "She has a younger sister, and I believe if they share the same blood, than perhaps she might be the best candidate to step into her sister's shoes." There was silence while Arthur considered his options, then he finally said, "Alright. Let's see how well this experiment goes, compared to your previous one." __________________________________________________________________ (Y/N) is nothing like her sister, the Kingsman "Guinevere", or her father, a deceased soldier who fought with Harry Hart in their prime. She doesn't do 'teamwork', and she couldn't give a shit about saving the world even if it hit her in the face. She stopped trying to be like her sister years ago. She's what everyone, including herself, would call a delinquent now; an outcast of what is left of her broken family. But when the only person she had left dies attempting a rescue mission in Argentina, she might just have to change the way she sees herself. Perhaps with a little help from a frustratingly likable street kid with an odd name. ___________________________________________________________________ Reader meet Eggsy. His Majesty and His Knights

21 parts Complete

Thirteen-year old Squires Lancelot and Gwaine dropped Merlin off at a safe place. They began their journey back to their kingdom but were attacked by bandits. Gwaine was kidnapped and Lancelot was left for dead, badly injured and unconscious. Luckily, he was taken and healed by druids. They both got word that their kingdom was taken over. Gwaine spent the next nine years wandering, believing that his friend was dead. Merlin didn't see either of them for another nine years... in Camelot. This is a "Merlin is the lost prince of another kingdom AU," but it's different from the others. Okay, I know that they all say that, but hear me out. Maybe Merlin isn't the only one from a different kingdom? Maybe... I dunno, Gwaine and Lancelot are from that same kingdom? I don't own Merlin!
