Isabella Murphy never grew up in poverty, quite the opposite really. Country clubs and private school were routine with a mother that was a model and owned a designer company and a father with a successful business. She did things for her friends, lent the books, gave advice, payed for dinners but not strangers and rarely her family since they never asked. One day when her favourite uncle reaches out to her dad and he can't fullfill the request the responsibility is handed to her. Just take a guy about her age that went to the same university to her country club and let him play tennis. Easy? There isn't much to be said about Adam Taylors since he lived in a pretty mediocre family, except for his passion for tennis and not much else. Sadly all the available courts within a two. hour radius are shut down for a surprise, and much needed remodel, but one. The country club's private facilities are still open. Lucky for him his coach's brother can get him access, not him but his daughter. A girl he only knows to be social and raised rich. He doesn't have much time to goof off since the state tournament is in only a few short months. Besides school tennis should be is only focus. Right?

When you hit rock bottom, you can only go up. For Elizabeth Erickson, the climb back to where she was- and who she used to be- is more difficult than the fall. At 16, Elizabeth was set up to be a figure skating legend. She won her first national title at just 17, but by 18, she was crumbling under the pressure with lackluster scores and a program she can't connect to. After taking time off from the sport following an all-too-public suicide attempt, she's trying to climb her way back to where she used to be. Plagued with nightmares and insomnia, she spends her nights skating, alone under the lights of the rink. Until the night Noah Li walks through the doors, with problems of his own he's looking to escape. Noah Li was already a force within the figure skating world at age 19. With two national titles and numerous international medals under his belt. He wasn't expecting an ankle injury to take him out of the sport for so long- or to throw him off his game as much as it did. There's something vulnerable under Noah's confidence that draws Elizabeth toward him. As the two get closer to each other and where they used to be, they find themselves healing. But will a relationship help them fix their broken pieces or scatter them even further? -Completed- | Highest ranking: #33 in Teen Fiction | Wattpad Pick: High School Hijinks | Project Heartwork | Watty's 2018 shortlist | Originally published: January 2018 | rough draft
