I Woke Up... Dead

After waking up dead, Alfred's memories seem to have denied him the opportunity to recall his life and learn why he still isn't in the afterlife. However, while he endeavored to explore the world, his soul appears to be only tied to the presence of a girl, with whom he actually spent most of his life before his end. But imprisoned between the worlds of the living and the dead, Alfred could only watch in misery as his girl falls in love with someone new.

Having to endure the pain of this everyday sight, Alfred admits that death is indeed a lot more tragic than he had expected. But on a larger picture, someone between the pages might also have been through the same-maybe even a greater-pain to endure than him.
