Atlas Madrigal was born to a family in the village of Encanto, but mysteriously, she ended up abandoned on the doorstep of the Madrigal family. With so many people already living in house, the Madrigal family couldn't bring themselves to take in the girl. They gave her to another family in the village, but once again that morning Atlas turned back up on their doorstep. After weeks of attempting to give the girl away, and continuously failing, they decided the take her in. The problem was, who would raise her? No one really wanted her, until Bruno decided he would take in the girl. She was not officially adopted by the family, but she was still treated lovingly by everyone. Well, everyone but Abuela. After their marriages, both women were pregnant soon. And Abuela was delighted to have more magical blessings on the way. Delores and Isabela were born first. The very first grandchildren to the Madrigal family. But between their birth and when they received their powers, Bruno's reputation continued to deteriorate. As did his relationship with his mother and sisters. He was becoming desperate. People in the town feared him. All he wanted was love. Then Bruno meets Valentina. They hit it off. Bruno is desperate. And his desperation results in an accident. Valentina becomes pregnant. Abuela is angry. They offer to get married but Abuela says the damage is done. Valentina gives birth to a baby girl she names Itzayana, after the moon. But Valentina never sees her daughter grow. Follow Itzayana as she navigates being a Madrigal and deals with the effects of her power. And maybe, just maybe, Itzayana finds someone special of her own.
