A short story of an elf falling in love with a mortal human. It wasn't love at first sight as the human attacked Wylan, the elf, before sparing a word. Wylan followed the intruder to a collapsing cave just to believe the human died before they could share a conversation.
Months later, Wylan finished building his extended home, as the human suddenly walks in. He was covered in blood and Wylan decided to take the human, who was running a fever, in.
A friendship started to build until the elf for the first time develops feelings for a mortal being.
But is the human going to return those feelings or will he remain on the run from the unknown...?
