A GATE and Call of Duty Crossover

This is a crossover fanfiction between the Anime / Manga series, GATE: Thus the JSDF Fought There! and the FPS game of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. This fanfiction delves into a what-if story scenario where instead of the Gate opening in Ginza, Japan in 2010's, it opens in the middle of a rebuilt city of New Baghdad, Iraq in the year 2059.

In a world where Humanity, spearheaded by the Atlas Corporation, enters a conflict yet again. However, this conflict isn't normal, as although the world had just recovered from a terrorist conflict, this new threat isn't from their world, but from another, beyond the Gate. An world of fantasy awaits, can Humanity and their advanced technologies prepare them for what's coming?

This fanfiction stories will have changes to setting and factions, such as The Empire's military capabilities, and Advance Warfare story (Everything prior to Mission 7: Utopia will be canon, however, during and after said mission has changed).

GATE: Thus JSDF Fought There is written by Takumi Yanai and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is developed by Sledgehammer Games.

NOTICE: From chapter 29 (which will release on 31/10/24, 12pm AEST) on to the rest of the fanfic, things are gonna be ridiculously more complicated. Also there's gonna be a lot more Doctor Who, Dragon Ball, Alien, Helldivers, Guardians of the Galaxy and other sci-fi bullshit from then on. In a galaxy fractured by power struggles and uneasy alliances, old empires, corporate titans, and alien factions vie for dominance over uncharted worlds and forgotten technologies. With the Citadel Council acting as the tenuous anchor of peace, threats lurk in the shadows-mercenary groups carve out criminal empires, rogue factions from the outer systems gather strength, and scavengers race to uncover ancient artifacts that could change the balance of power forever. Amid this chaotic landscape, whispers of hidden vaults and lost civilizations ignite a galactic gold rush, drawing treasure hunters, bounty seekers, and soldiers of fortune to the edges of known space. At the heart of it is our crew. Led by two seasoned warriors with a shared history they don't fully understand, the crew finds themselves drawn into dangerous missions that stretch their skills-and their morals-to the breaking point. In a universe where victory often comes at a price and peace is always temporary, the crew must decide what truly matters-loyalty, freedom, or the power to control their own fate (to be blunt, it's freedom). [TO BE CONTINUED] STORY ARCS Pre-Reset Arc - COMPLETE (Chapters 1-23) Anomalies Arc - CURRENT (Chapters 24-) Cover by @devarsh_yagnik NOTE: This work contains some semi-graphic depictions of violence on a TV-MA (ACB MA15+) and infrequent explicit language on a TV-14 (ACB M) level.

Amidst escalating Chinese aggression in the Pacific, Japan and the United States maintained their strong alliance, fully aware of the looming possibility of Taiwan facing an invasion. Japan, having emerged as an economic powerhouse in the Pacific after the Civil War and World War II, was viewed by China as a major obstacle to its expansionist ambitions. With Article 9 no longer in effect, recent developments indicated Japan's unwavering determination to defend Taiwan. The Japanese government considered their fleet of four carriers crucial in this regard. However, unforeseen circumstances would soon engulf Japan and the United States, transporting them to a world where magic and dragons held fundamental significance. Embracing their new reality, Japan and the United States forged a fresh coalition, leveraging their influence and steadfast principles in this unfamiliar realm. In light of agreed-upon arrangements, the two nations embarked on a joint expeditionary force to explore the new world, fully aware that the likelihood of this world aligning with their coalition was slim. As they beheld the new world, Japan and America encountered conflicts and ongoing wars that surpassed the brutality of their previous reality. They navigated this unfamiliar land, seeking to establish themselves as influential entities. The new world would soon have the opportunity to learn from the experiences and ideals of Japan and America. Based on the series of Nihonkoku Shoukan. The story is now available on Scribble Hub and Royal Road.
