Magic, monsters, mayhem ... and high school. What could go wrong? Everything!
I'm a freak, but I've got the God-given sense to know to keep it a secret that I can use magic to lose some things and to find other things. As magic goes, it totally sucks, especially since I can't control it. I couldn't use it to find my brother and save him from a serial killer. So what good is it that I can lose a shoe and find a hubcap?
Some people do think I'm extra special, though. I don't know how they found out about me, but the Stone Men and their Black Dogs are after me every chance they get. It's their job to keep magic a secret and make you think the world is normal. The Glass Man's out to get me, too. He's just out to make everybody his psycho slave. There's a war coming between Stone and Glass, and I'm right in the middle. But this war isn't just about hidden magic and humans.
When you're a little kid, your parents tell you that there isn't any such thing as monsters. Well, they're lying. Some monsters want to offer you a deal, and some, well, some just might end up your best friend. Others, they just want to eat you.
Right now, I'm dodging homework and things trying to turn me into lunch. I'm gonna find a way out of this war and save my friends... or die trying--

In a world where magical creatures and humans intermix, there are two types of magic and two types of people. Dark magic and light magic. Good people and evil people. Our main character is going to learn that your powers do not define who you are as a person. Arion Griffin lives in a society where people with light magic are 'good' and people with dark magic are 'bad'. He comes from a long line of dark magic. Unfortunately, this causes many problems for his social life since his family's reputation precedes him and makes it so no one will talk with him. He is worried it will make his greatest fear come true. He is terrified he is on the path to becoming evil like his parents. Then, one day at school he gets an invitation from Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. Sure he's heard of it, but only in rumors. The school is just for magical creatures to learn more about themselves and their history. It was made over three hundred years ago and still run by a fairy named Cassiopea and her daughter Cassia. Arion is excited to go because his parents refuse to teach him anything about other magical creatures other than dark magic. They believe it is irrelevant for him to know because they think he will take over the world one day. And why should a leader know anything about his subjects? Arion convinces his parents that if he goes to the school he can do recon on the other magical people so he can learn about them and make it easier for him to take over. With no friends, no siblings, and a very negative outlook on life, he heads to Cassiopeia's School for the Gifted. He makes friends and learns that just because he has dark magic, doesn't mean he is evil. *Idk if this is actually a good story but I had a lot of fun writing it! :) *This story has been editedComplete

I always knew there was more to her than keeping me safe during the war between Glass and Stone that almost took out a town called Dooms, Virginia. Hey, with a name like Dooms, I guess you should expect an apocalypse or two. When I was a baby, my parents gave me to a crazy cult lead by a magic-wielding, Bible-beating psycho called the Glass Man. To get his way, he was willing to kill whoever he needed to. Even me. An army of monsters and people took him out before he could. Most people don't know about that stuff. People like thinking that magic is fake and that the world is boring. They want to believe that monsters are just things you read about in books. BOOK ONE: Having enough courage to run through the woods and away from the people who convinced me they were saving me was not how I believed I'd spend my day. Yet, there I went escaping from the only place I knew existed in the world. Being held captive was too much for me, especially when these people wouldn't tell me who they were or even who I was. The first moment in my life I recall very clearly. I awoke in a dark room, with recollection of everything that happened in the world except for one thing. I had no memory of myself existing, I didn't know where I was or why these men kept me from leaving. Days after I first woke I asked plenty of questions, and yet none of them were answered. The only thing I learned was that I was not allowed outside because the woods heald the most powerful magic on the planet, the most dangerous magic. It was more than just bad men and curiosity about the forest that got me to leave, it was a pull towards something; towards magic. Once I was in the forest turning back was never an option, so I put it in my head that I'd keep walking until I found a civilization or a nice paved road that would lead to safety. But that never happened because the forest has a force living through it. Believing that the forest held something strange was the easy part but experiencing it myself was something totally different. I didn't expect anything normal but I didn't expect to be completly engulfed into the forest. I was led by an unknown presence that made me truly believe it was a living being, and in fact it is. I was innocent then, but now I know that anything can be hidden under a small platform in the woods with a secret bigger than the world itself. I wake up with a pounding headache. Now I know why my mother tells me not to drink. I open my eyes and close them right after. I pull my covers off of me and stretch for a minute. I walk to the bathroom with my eyes still closed. Now that takes skill. I open my eyes when I get in there. I look around for a second and scream. I run to the bed I was in and see its not mine. I scream again. I go to the door and its locked. No,no,no this can't be happening... moments later the door opens and I almost punch the person opening it, he grabbed my hand and then put it down. "Mr. B?" "Its Jeff out of school for you,now." "What's going on! Why did you take me!?" I screamed at him walking back away from him. Im terrified. My teacher took me...
