Alice is bent on justice when she breaks out of the infamous Exeter prison with the help
of a rough stranger who whisks her away on a tingling journey through the
countryside.

Edward has spent years tracking down the culprit to a terrible murder, and travels
through Exeter to see justice done when he practically trips over a slip of a
girl in the bowels of the prison. Despite her ragged appearance and criminal
past, she might be the one person whose help he needs.

Torn between the feelings drawing her closer and the need to hide her terrible history
from this mysterious stranger, Alice finds herself caught up in a web of intrigue
and chaos surrounding Edward. Will she give in to all of her desires, or will
she let the truth tear them apart?
