The Sacred 28 are a well known group of families with a secret. Obviously they don't keep that secret but it's still something that is quite important to keep quiet. The sacred 28 may have blood traitors but that doesn't change the curse.

Decades ago there was a girl. She was smart, sly, cunning and cursed. Her family was a part of the sacred 28 including her so there was a chance she could get the curse. Many believed she wouldn't and didn't have the strength but she shocked them all when the monster that had jinxed her showed them the power she held.

The ministry found out and killed her but not before leaving an item that only the cursed could find.

And one day someone found it. Celeste Lestrange was cursed.
