1,000 years ago, Esther Mikaelson made a bargain with her sister so that she would be able to conceive children. Dahlia wanted Esther's firstborn, a witch named Freya. What Esther didn't know was that she wanted her 5th born as well. 10 years after Freya was taken, Dahlia returns to collect the little 5th-born warlock, Kol.

Freya and Kol Mikaelson grew to be some of the strongest witches the world ever saw. After nearly 300 years with Dahlia they escaped, Freya with a curse tagging along. Freya had been cursed to sleep for a century only to wake for a mere year, much to Kol's dismay. During this time, Kol found his siblings, and together they stood, Freya joining them for a year after a century of sleep each time.

Now there's trouble in Mystic Falls, the Mikaelsons are faced with some of their worst enemies while Kol is stuck suffering his past over and over again. While Freya is sleeping the siblings must find their way through this new danger while helping their brother and saving their sister. This might be one of the worst battles they had ever seen in over 1,000 years. The only way to defeat these dangerous is together but with the family breaking it seems impossible, will the Mikaelsons defeat this evil to come or will the fall of the supernatural universe forever rest on their shoulders?
