Living inside the walls has always been calm and neutral,
M/n, Mikasa, Eren, And Armin all had been happy living their lives inside the walls. That was until a 60 meter titan stood next to the 50 meter wall looking over it, then putting a hole in Wall Maria, making all the titans from outside the walls barge in and would start attacking/killing those inside Wall Maria. One by one..

Once that day has passed everything had changed for them. Now they joined the Survey Corps and put an end to the titans before they could eliminate the human race.
