Twin sisters, Madeline and Margaret Darbinshire, lose their parents to a devastating house fire and are hastily entrusted to the care of their Aunt Beatrice. Aunt Beatrice quickly enrolls the girls in a boarding school, assuring them that it's only for their benefit.
