Not liking the way Kimmy and Jake are with one another, they later on during the trip pick up a guy named Luke along the way and in return he offers them free accommodation at his father's cabins he rents out to back packers, the cosy cabins situated on a beautiful bit of land even Emily can't resist. Thanking Luke for the gesture it doesn't take long for Emily and Jake to get stuck into an argument due to Emily not being able to bite her tongue for much longer on the Jake and Kimmy situation, Jake disappearing the next day with Kimmy and leaving Emily to wonder exactly what the both of them got up to. With things not sitting right with her and discovering Kelsey isn't saying much on the whereabouts of her cousin and friend. Not to mention the girl's weird behaviour on the matter, she soon finds that Kelsey's hiding something after practically dragging it out of her, and it doesn't take her long to work out she's been ditched by all three of them and left stranded. Soon she discovers Jake's ignoring her calls when multiple attempts to try to contact him end up going unanswered and for things to start unravelling, the person who had been there for her during the messy breakup with Jake, no longer a shoulder for her to lean on.
