I use poetry as a way to cope when things get tough in my head, when the thoughts get too loud and the memories don't seem to fade.
I've never been able to fully express how I feel through words, but poetry works for me because it doesn't have to make sense to anyone else.

One Thousand Tears
I've tried to release this pain in so many different ways; But writing about you seems to be one of my faves. I don't understand how I find closure When I know it only lasts until the poem is over. Somehow it feels like some sort of imaginary relief to my reality. As if, the pain I feel only exists until the words are free. I've been through my own struggle, whether it was created in my head by way of prolonged sadness or bitterness/resentment, or if I was struggling with things I had no control over like failed friendships, a broken heart, or family drama. This is my advice to you based off of my life experiences.
