2nd part to return to the league, based of I'm Not Dead by P!nk
It was hard to imagine their Captain, the woman who saved all their souls and was their shoulder to lean on, was anything like the monsters in the stories. Yet, deep down he knew that she was, he saw her rampage through armies, kill countless people, torture children.
Even though the teaching methods to withstand torture were medieval they worked, and it would be hard to implement them on the ones she loved, but Ava had to be ready for the rough road ahead. Ava spent that night alone shackled to a chair in a pitch-black room, as Sara cried alone in her bed.
There was this quote or story really that sprung to mind, one that Sara told Ava about her mother's dream world. "The way I see it life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but visa-versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things and make them unimportant."
Shedded her clothes and replaced them with a night dress, making her way beside the sleeping assassin. Sara stirred at the weight of Ava added to the bed. Unconsciously, she reached out trying to find some physical contact with the person next to her. Ava abridged the orders of her sleeping beauty and shimmied in closer, wrapping them up in each other's arms, "However lost you feel, I will always find you."
