Jim Hawkins adopted sister, taken in by Sarah Hawkins and her husband Leland Hawkins, 3 years before Jim was born, Leland ignores her existence, leaving her in the care of Sarah, when she was 8, Jim was born, leaving her excited and joyful for a little brother.
When she was 18, Leland left their home, never returning, leaving Jim feeling abandoned and his sister trying to pick up the pieces and help her mother, taking up a part time job at the Benbow inn, refusing her mother paying her, when she reached 21, she worked full time, still refusing pay from her mother, preferring it to go to their home and bills.
When her brother is once again, escorted home by the authorities, it sparks a chain of events leading to the siblings travelling through space chasing a fairy-tale they grew up on, hiring a sketchy looking crew and stern first officer and hot strict Captain on the way.
As Captain of his own ship and crew, Jim Hawkins is known and trusted, and by some he is feared throughout the Galaxy. When he happens upon a ship of pirates and seizes them, he and his men gather up the stolen goods. Among the treasures they find, there is one chest in particular that holds something, or rather, someone far more valuable than any treasure map, gold coin, or ruby: a girl.
She harbours a secret so dangerous, and so intriguing, that it could mean the very destruction of the whole galaxy if not kept behind her lips. But what's more, if she hopes to survive that secret must be told.
