Florida is the farthest thing from normal. And that was before the world was made completely aware of the supernatural as more than stories.
Now that it's out in the open, the government is having to make new laws as they go to keep the general public feeling safe. What the public doesn't know is that instead of flooding the police system, they have their hierarchies still intact to communicate with the mundy's officials.
Which is where I come in as a liaison. Each territory has its own to keep the panic at a minimum and keep the PR nightmares undetected.
When a case is handed to me reminiscent of the oldest of fae lore, I am forced to go places I swore to never see again and go into debt with immortals that have a history of bloodshed many wouldn't see in a lifetime.

"Last night, I had a dream the world ended. Half the population disappeared, and unfathomable eldritch beasts shambled out of an unending darkness." In a world with no sun and bloodthirsty creatures roaming the all consuming dark, the only places still safe are the small compounds that managed to get walls up before all came crashing down. Now, life is simple. Stay inside the walls, and you'll stay alive. It's not relatively easy anymore, though. With no one for company but each other, danger lurking only a few yards away from their homes, and half of their loved ones swept away in a mysterious event known only as 'The Vanishing', the morale of the populous is at an all time low. It's only getting worse for some, as their cities that are supposed to be providing for them are failing to do so. Survivors Wesly and Valentine aren't content with this, however, especially since Val's mother desperately needs life-saving medicine that the city just won't send. With no other options, the two journey outside the wall to study the monsters beyond, selling the information they find to the city in exchange for their support. While dangerous, they manage the task fine until one journey out they stumble across a disturbing, gruesome revelation that reveals not only more about the city, but the end of the world as a whole. As the duo begin to pull on the thread and tangle themselves slowly into its snare, they begin to realize there's a lot more to this apocalypse than they ever could have imagined, and that the horrific beasts they've been studying might be the least of their concerns...Complete

Every time I tried to stop, something clenched in my stomach, instinctual and feral. It compelled me to move. Sometimes it felt like it was pulling me in the opposite direction, back the way I came. That feeling I ignored - nothing short of demonic possession could convince me to go anywhere near that forest ever again. It wouldn't be nearly long enough that I would realize I hadn't imagined that pull. That some invisible force was compelling me towards that man. To Nate. The Splice of The Realms
In a world divided into four groups, there is a role for everyone. Every group has their own realm found in each corner of the country they share. The top right corner has the largest population. There lives the people of the Mystery Realm (M.R.) They're the police force, detectives and prosecutors. They're the only realm which carries weapons of any kind. However, they don't kill. While they do value law and order, they don't like violence and tend to avoid it. The bottom left corner has the second largest population. The people there are born with unique powers. They're called the Supernatural Realm (S.R.) They tend to be optimistic and stubborn. They value relationships and would do anything to keep the people they love safe. The top left and bottom right corners are tied in regards to population, however, that is the only thing they share in common. These two realms couldn't be more different. In the top left corner is the society of the Technologically Enhanced Realm (T.E.R.) The people here develop technology the other realms could only dream of. They don't socialize with others and tend to keep to themselves. They understand complex equations and theories, however, they have a hard time understanding human emotion. Finally, in the bottom right corner lives the peaceful and happy people of the Primitive Harmony Realm (P.H.R.) The people here lead a simple life and believe in nature and its gifts. Because of that, they were blessed with healing abilities and elemental gifts. Additionally, the herbs they grow are just as magical as the people themselves. Their carefree and charismatic tendencies cause them to always believe the best in people, even when they shouldn't. For years everyone stuck to their roles and never tried to become anything else-until one day, everything changed...Complete

I'd always heard the voices. From being a young child when the doctors had long since given up trying to find a cause, the voices woke me, screaming, in the night. But then, they began to guide me. When I started to find the dead bodies - animals, children - I was called a psychic. I was used to help, but I could only find what the voices wanted to show me. But then, one day, the killer chose another victim. It chose me, and only the voices could save me. Except, they weren't just voices. They were.... - Whilst on a long (7.5) hour flight to Wattpad HQ in Toronto, I was watching the film Solace. Part way through, an idea threw itself into my mind and I had to stop the film and start writing immediately. I also had another idea later on, again which I had to write down. This is the first of those ideas and is written for the #OnceUponNow promotion. We're broken out, the building is on lockdown, and I'm hunting down the only people I have left in this world. Except when I open the door...past mistakes are brought into the light and I'm forced to face them as I'm met with a new enemy, one with a motive far more devious than that of the poor PASCI corporation. They want to take back what's theirs, and they won't let anyone stand in their path, agent, civilian, or subject alike.
