After the Sunshot Campaign, Yanli sees how badly Wei Wuxian is coping and shirking his responsibilities, causing Jiang Cheng to become agitated at his brother as he's doing his best to rebuild Lotus Pier but not without worrying about him at the same time. So being the best sister in the world, she comes up with a solution by tying their wrist together with a spiritual energy-infused ribbon, forcing them to stay together (quite literally) As the two brothers learn to work together and cooperate, the Jiang siblings find out much more than they bargained for about their brother.
