     The oracle said that the mandate of heaven shall bring prosperity to the land, for a messenger of God shall fall from the sky together with the new ruler---a qilin and a wulin.

But instead of prosperity and blessings, a war broke out and bloodbath happened in the palace. Zylan Chen, the reigning emperor was tortured and publicly executed, other royal bloods was also received torture. Their eyes, hands and head were removed resulting to their death. 

The people of the kingdom experience plague and inhumane, and there is no one who can fight against the regency of the wulin. 


The only remaining is Cana Chen, which is the daughter of emperor and consort who escaped from the kingdom with only one thing from her head.

For thousands of years, many people whether in cultivation or not would pray to the gods for all kinds of help. Some would pray just to have something to believe in. others for wealth, fame, love, or protection. The gods In heaven would answer to these prayers, though in some cases they may not be answered as quickly as people would hope. Times change and so do people. The beliefs of the gods still hold strong, but nowadays many pray for mostly protection as ghouls, zombies, and fierce spirits continue to roam in the mortal realm. The hard work now falls into the hands of cultivators and their sects. Now offerings are given to gods for protection more than anything. However, in a single night many temples and shrines have come to burn to the ground and left behind would be dark flames of resentful energy. This evil being is corrupted with hatred and has reached devastation like levels. Maybe even beyond that. With their strengths lowering, the gods must seek help from the Yiling Patriarch and his companions. Xie Lian and Hua Cheng must work together with them to solve the mystery and rid the world of such chaos. I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE CHARACTERS EXCEPT THE VILLAINS OF THIS STORY.
