When Izuku was only a month old, his mother's affair shattered their family. His father divorced her and eventually moved to the United States for business when Izuku was seven - but not before losing custody of the boy he still loved. Left behind, Izuku grew up enduring relentless mental and physical abuse at the hands of his mother and her new family. Everything changes the day his quirk awakens - triggered during one of his "punishments." With new power and a burning resolve, Izuku begins to rewrite his destiny. As he rises from the cruelty that shaped him, he sets out to change not only his own life, but the lives of those around him. But when the abusers of his past realize the boy they tormented has become someone far greater than they ever imagined, will they regret what they did to the once sweet, quiet child? Or will they cling to their cruelty until the end?
